British Court Convicts Briton of Helping to Organise Illegal Arms Shipment to Nigeria

A Southwark Crown Court has convicted a former special constable, Gary Hyde, 43, of helping to organise a huge shipment of guns and ammunition from China to Nigeria without a licence. The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), reports that Hyde helped shipped illegally, 40,000 AK-47 assault rifles, 30,000 rifles and 10,000 pistols to Nigeria in 2007. The former special constable is due to be sentenced at the British Court on November 23.
